When I was trying to think of a name for my Doula business, the word Nurture resonated with me most. I actually hope to get a tattoo of this word one day. I read a book that had you think of one word that defines you and nurture was the first word that came to mind. Incorporating this into my company name was perfect. I picked Momma Nurture, because it sounded similar to Mother Nature!
This logo was created in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own. My full disclosure can be found here.
Creating a logo was the next step. I came across Lauren Ashley‘s work on Instagram. I knew she would be the perfect person to create a logo for Doula Momma Nurture. She was extremely easy to work with and patient with my various request. In the end, she created exactly what I had envisioned. I wanted to incorporate each stage of motherhood that I am apart of as a doula. In addition, I chose black and white because it fit the theme of birth photos that I feature on my page. This is the finalized logo and I couldn’t be happier with the result!
Lauren is also planning to illustrate a photo remake of Grayson and I. This is where she takes a photo you provide and illustrates it for you. She can do these in color or black and white. Here are a few examples of those:
A few of her favorite logos are also shown below:
When asked what inspired her to get into this type of work, she responded:
“I posted one of my illustrations online on my Facebook, it was just a fun hobby that I wanted to share with my friends. My friends went crazy and ended up loving them so much, word got around and SO many people wanted illustrations! I couldn’t keep up! I started my Instagram to share all the work I was doing, and shortly after started my Etsy shop. I’ve been on Etsy for almost 4 months now!”
Lauren’s current turnaround time is anywhere from 1-2 weeks. I highly recommend checking out her page to see all of her amazing work! She is such a gem!!
