It has become a family tradition to go camping at Myrtle Beach. We have provided a few of our local recommendations below.
Where to stay if you plan to camp: Lakewood Campgrounds
This place is an absolute blast and extremely family friendly. They have a Waterpark and splash pad. You can also rent golf carts to cruise around the campgrounds. Other amenities include: a park, dining area, ice cream parlor, coffee shop, fish cleaning station and full hookup campsites. Our favorite feature is the beachfront access. We also chose this site because it is pet friendly and we love bringing our Piper girl!
The play yard featured in this photo is the Regalo MyPlay!
Good eats near Lakewood:
Grayson had a hard time napping in the camper, so we decided to explore during his naps and let him sleep in the car. One of our favorite ice cream shops is SubZero. They make the sweet treats directly in front of you with the use of nitrogen. This is definitely fun for the kiddos to watch.
Another must try place would be The Roasted Bean in Market Commons. My friend Chelsae recommended it and it was amazing. To drink, I ordered a caramel frappe and my husband had a iced mocha latte. Both of these were so yummy! To eat, I had Avocado Toast with cream cheese and tomato. I have tried this on the everything bagel and the asiago cheese, delicious! The patio is pet friendly and perfect for us.
The Market Commons also has Tupelo Honey that was amazing. It’s also pet friendly and they even have a dog menu. So adorable! Another bonus is that they serve biscuits and honey before your meal comes. Give me all the carbs! I have linked their menu here for you to drool over.
As we travel to Myrtle more I will be sure to add to this list. If y’all have any recommendations in the area, please share in the comments!
