↠Being transparent on social media is definitely a way for me to cope and get support. Sometimes I may be too open, but the feedback I receive is always worth sharing those vulnerable moments.
Mindfulness is the ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us. “Mindfulness trains us to accept whatever is happening in the moment, without judging it good or bad. It just is what it is. Mindful motherhood, as a way of being, encourages you to attend more fully to what is already present, to who you already are, to what is right in front of you, rather than striving to make things different.” –Psychology Today
These last few weeks I was trying so hard to be more mindful with my screen time, but what I didn’t realize was that I was somewhat isolating myself from something that brings me so much joy. Seeing photos, hearing others share their relatable stories, lifting parents up and capturing moments of my kiddos is joyous. I just need to work to find a good balance. Noticing how social media makes you feel can help you discover how to use it more mindfully. As you become more aware of the emotions you’re actually inviting into your day when you visit those platforms, you’ll be able to make better decisions about how often to visit them. •How do you practice being mindful?
